How Recognition Works

Recognition awards are meant to produce a lasting, positive effect for the presenting organization, the recipient and any neutral observers. It should be on par in value, stature and design with the effort being recognized and the presenting organization.

An award, properly selected and presented, should say thank you and congratulations to the recipient. It will instill a sense of satisfaction for the effort being recognized. A monetary award tends to produce a short period of satisfaction and has little advertising effect. A neutral observer of the award presentation will be encouraged to also participate in a like effort because they will perceive that the presenting organization, appreciates and recognizes outstanding effort.
